What You Need to Know

These terms and conditions set out the basis on which you can visit the Lindy Hop Shop website, and buy goods through our online store via internet mail order.  Please read through these terms and conditions carefully before using this website.  Please read our Privacy Policy regarding your personal information.

We aim to process all enquiries and requests as quickly as possible, but we reserve the right to restrict, refuse or cancel orders, as well as refuse access to the website and terminate accounts at our discretion.

We reserve the right to vary these terms and conditions at any time, but in respect of any ordered goods, the terms and conditions which apply shall be those which you accepted when placing your order.

How your order is processed
After you have placed an online order with us, we will send a confirmation email of that order to your designated email address.

If after we have confirmed your order we discover any unforeseen reason as to why we cannot complete it, we will cancel your order, in full or in part, and advise you by email or telephone as soon as possible, and refund where necessary.

Availability
All orders are subject to availability. Our confirmation of order acceptance is not a guarantee of delivery. If we are unable to deliver the goods ordered, we will tell you as quickly as possible and a full refund will be given.
If shoes are out of stock we will let you know by email.

Bleyer shoes can take up to 4-6 weeks, to come in, especially if the factory do not have them in stock.  If your order is urgent please let us know.  It is sometimes possible to pay a small additional fee to have them sent over faster.

Werner Kern shoes can take up to 12 weeks to be produced if not in stock.  The reason they take so long is the company specialize in Ballroom shoes with suede soles but for Swing, Balboa or Charleston I prefer/recommend a leather sole which they make specially for us - hence the long time.

As soon as we receive the shoes we send them First Class Recorded Delivery for UK orders and AirMail for all other orders.

Shipping fees are automatically calculated based on the weight and destination of the order, as below.

United Kingdom:

0 kg - 1kg: £3

1kg - 2kg: £7

2kg - 3kg: £10

3kg and up: £12

World Zone 1 (inc Europe):

0 kg - 1kg: £10

1kg - 2kg: £15

2kg - 3kg: £18

3kg and up: £25

World Zone 2 (inc USA & Australia):

0 kg - 1kg: £10

1kg - 2kg: £15

2kg - 3kg: £20

3kg and up: £40

Collection

If you would like to arrange to collect your order from either The Lindy Hop Shop in Ruislip or a class/event and save the postage cost please select the correct option at time of purchase and email mail@swingdanceuk.com to arrange a suitable date/time.

Special Orders
Special orders are all colour combinations and shoe sizes that differ from the standard shoe colours and shoe sizes as shown on our web. Special orders can take up to ten weeks to arrive, are non-returnable and subject to a surcharge, please call for details.

All shoes will be non-patent unless specified.

All rights, including copyright, in the text, graphics are owned by, or licensed to, Lindy Hop Shop.

You are not permitted, without our prior written consent, to copy, transmit, reproduce, publish, display, distribute, store, modify or adapt this website, its contents without prior permission from the Lindy Hop Shop.

Accuracy of content
We have made every effort to ensure that the products are fairly described, that the product information is correct, and that the colours of our products are displayed as accurately as possible. However, as the actual colours you see will vary with the quality of your monitor, we cannot guarantee that your display will accurately reflect the colour of the product requested on delivery.

Damage to your computer
Lindy Hop Shop make every effort to ensure that this website is free from defects or viruses. It is your responsibility to ensure that you use the correct equipment when using the website, and to protect from anything that may damage it.

Password and security
If you use the site, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password, and also for ensuring that unauthorised access to your account is prohibited. You should take all necessary steps to ensure that your information is kept confidential to you. If you have reason to believe that this may have been compromised, please contact us immediately.
